Nigerian blogger and owner of 360 groups, Noble Igwe, has reacted to the tragic tanker explosion on the Otedola Bridge, along Lagos - Ibadan expressway.
Report had it that about 9 people lost their lives and over 50 vehicles were burnt in the explosion yesterday.
While reacting to the mishap in a series of tweets, the fashion icon wrote;
“Tankers should not be on the road at that time of the day (agreed) but we can clearly see that a bus driver disobeyed the law and then got people killed.
“The day the government wake up to rid the roads of trucks in bad conditions, is the same day you’ll see the threads or hear about “how the government took away what my dad is using to feed our family.
“It may be wise to blame the government for everything but if we are being truthful, you’d agree that we love that feeling of beating the system. We say “don’t drink and drive” but people boast of driving better while high with no regard for the lives of others.
“We thrive as a nation where people look for a way out of everything. Vehicles are on the road without people submitting same for a test.
"Vehicle are certified “Road worthy” without seeing the vehicle in question.
We are a huge part of our problem.”
